                    Kelli K. Armstrong-Smith

Ms. Armstrong-Smith is a 1994 graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco.  In 2004, Ms. Armstrong-Smith obtained her Master of Laws degree in Taxation from the University of Washington in Seattle with an emphasis on estate planning and tax controversy work (i.e. dealing in disputes with the IRS directly).

Ms. Armstrong-Smith has practiced law in Washington State since 1994 in both the criminal and civil contexts.  She has defended people accused of a wide array of crimes from DUIs to Murder.  She had conducted dozens of serious felony trials and has an impressive success rate.  She has experience in dealing with both civil and criminal IRS matters and the State Department of Revenue.  She also enjoys helping people with their estate planning needs, including both preparing wills and trusts and also assisting in probate matters.

Prior to obtaining her law degree Ms. Armstrong-Smith attended the University of Arizona where she obtained her bachelors degree in Anthropology with minors in Microbiology and Political Science.  While in San Francisco Ms. Armstrong-Smith clerked for the California Supreme Court.  She left San Francisco to move closer to her family and worked for a private law firm in Eastern Washington for 5 years.  In 2000 she moved to Skagit County where she worked as a Public Defender assigned to the felony division and the Drug Court program.  In 2004 she went into private practice and is assisted by her husband, David Smith.  We live in the Mill Creek area and have a wonderful Airedale Terrier with a lot of energy that keeps us busy.  Kelli is also an amateur photographer and Snohomish County Master Gardener.
